The Universal Power of Music, Connection & Telehealth with Soundscaping Source
We had the pleasure of interviewing Rachelle Morgan, Founder of Soundscaping Source. Soundscaping Source “helps older adults, caregivers and eldercare professionals find joy and connection in music.” We hear about how this business was created and how the universal power of music brings us together. We learn all about music therapy, the healthcare and clinical practice of music therapy, those benefits, and how caregivers can implement it- especially during a time of isolation using virtual tools.
Rachelle Morgan, MA, MT-BC believes everyone deserves access to meaningful music experiences with their loved ones, no matter what cognitive or physical limitations may be getting in the way. She has been in music therapy clinical practice since 2004 and is the founder of Soundscaping Source, a private practice in Kansas City, where her team primarily serves older adults. They are also now providing music therapy and related services by telehealth across the country. Rachelle is on the faculty of Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College and is in high demand as a speaker and consultant on topics related to ethics, business, and music in eldercare.
