About Rebecca Adelman

Rebecca Adelman is an attorney, entrepreneur, influencer and thought leader in healthcare, senior living and risk management. In 2001, after paving the way for young women lawyers in Memphis, Tennessee at traditional law firms, Rebecca founded Adelman Firm and Claims Management. The all women firm is a Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) and Tennessee Certified Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE). For nearly 35 years, Rebecca has concentrated her practice in healthcare, insurance defense, employment and business litigation. She is also an arbitrator for the American Health Lawyers Association and serves as an Ambassador for Bridge the Gap, supporting the mission of informing, educating and influencing the future of housing and services for seniors.

Her practice includes representation of insurance companies and long‐ term care providers and their insurers, both regionally and nationally. The firm provides claims management services to senior living insurance companies and created the PRISM proactive claims model focused on offensive strategies to claims and risk mitigation. She also provides consulting services and educational programming to healthcare professionals and business associates. She has active practices in the areas of general liability, sports, leisure and entertainment insurance, professional liability, premises, and employment law.

Her experience also extends to enterprise risk management and organizational leadership and formal programs including comprehensive “expectations management”, arbitration training, facility admissions protocols, and crisis communication planning.

In 2022, the firm was awarded the coveted first place by the Aspect Marketing & Advertising Awards for its client newsletter, Exhibit (A)delman, in the category of multimedia campaign. The firm was built on the client-centric experience.

An innovator and change-maker in the area of quality end-of-life care, Ms. Adelman founded the Adelman-Mettle Care Alliance in 2021 with Dr. BJ Miller, a palliative care specialist, author and international speaker, and Sonya Dolan, co-founders of Mettle Health. The Alliance developed a Nursing Center-Based Palliative Care Team curriculum and authored the Introduction to Palliative Care for the National Institute of CNA Excellence.

Also in 2021, Ms. Adelman founded Guide Path, LLC, an Expectations and Risk Management Certification Program and other solutions created for resident, family and provider engagement to mitigate risk, improve quality of care and regulatory compliance.
